Which gay film is better Latter Days, Big Eden, Adam and Steve, Another Gay Movie, or Brokeback Mountain? This is a question for all the gays out there that like movies. In your opinion, which of these movies is the best of the four? Why? My friend is recently "out" and I'm trying to pick a good gay-themed movie for us to watch together. | Well, if your friend is recently out, I'm trying to figure out what mood you want to create with the film.
If you want to cry and weep a little, then Brokeback Mountain is fantastic. However, I can't imagine you'd like to do that together. It's a sad, although powerful cinematic experience.
If you want pure, gross-out hilarious comedy, Another Gay Movie is fantastic. I watched it and was not disappointed- it's basically American Pie done in all gay splendor. A lot of fun and laughs.
If you want something that's equal mixtures romance, tough issues (like homophobia and discrimination, etc.), lighter moments, and all that- you can try the others. Latter Days is heavier, but ultimately very rewarding. Big Eden and Adam and Steve are both nicer, fluffier films.
My vote is for Another Gay Movie, but use your best judgement.
Happy movie night! | WOW, I just had a REVELATION, if Adam and Eve ate a FRUIT in the Garden of Eden, it must be okay to be GAY? DAMN!!!!!!!!!!! | | Are you an apple??? | To all the Gay men,If God had put 2 men in eden then where would hve u born from.? My advice b normal than u would.cant u c its wrong. | Your typing is what is wrong, buddy.
Let them live their lives. They're not hurting you or anyone else. What do you care what other people do in their bedroom? | In the Garden of Eden, what would have happened if Adam was a gay and Eve was a lesbian? Genesis | | How do you know they weren't. | Looking for gay themed romance books? Hi,
I'm looking for some good books. i just finished readinng rj scott "moments" book and read eden winters " angel on thirteen street, and looking for similar books, like have a gay couple.helping teens on the streets. | | Rainbow Boys series by Alex Sanchez, it's my personal favorite. ^_^ | Poll: if girls are smarter then dudes why then were they the first to sin at the garden of eden? i am just asking your opinion lols and besides i think we are all smart i am just bored, no offense intended i love girls and with out them instead of being gay i would go to the woods and live the live of a hermit. | | Because the sin was initiated by a "snake in the grass" and we women are gullible for a guy that IS a snake in the grass. And women are too trustworthy. Besides, if Adam had been the first one on the scene, who says he may not have done the same thing. Adam was off sleeping somewhere....tells you something, doesn't it? | Stereotypically, Am I gay if I lke these movies? Stereotypically speaking, would you consider me gay if my favorite movies/playwrites are: A Streetcare Named Desire, The Glass Menagerie, East of Eden and Gone With the Wind? Most guys are into action etc. | No lol
oh lawd | I need a great gay movie.? I already no a lot, but im just in the mood for one that's not popular these are some of the ones that i've already seen
Shelter
Your Not Alone
Eating Out
Eating Out: Sloppy Seconds
Sommersturm
Bent
Mysterious Skin
Another Gay Movie
Edens Curve
Gypsy 83
Boy Culture
Most of these are good movies, if you haven't seen them check them out ^_^
The kind of movie i like is the kind like Shelter, so anything like that kind of romance | I'm absolutely in love with the movie, Boys Don't Cry, starring Hilary Swank. It's based on the true story of Brandon Teena. It's one of the more dramatic "gay" films. I found it compelling, depressing, and very deep. I definitely recommend this. But, I must warn you, there are scenes that may be "inappropriate". Otherwise, you should definitely check it out.
Also,
Lost & Delirious
Imagine Me And You
D.E.B.S.
Gray Matters
For The Bible Tells Me So (documentary)
Milk (Another great film)
Monster
Some of them are romantic comedy, and plain romance. The others are serious, and are considered dramas. I'm interested in dramas myself, so I can only offer so much of your specified category... I still suggest that you watch the documentary, Milk, Boys Don't Cry, and Lost and Delirious. Good stuff. :) | What was the fruit in the garden of eden a metaphor for? i don't think it was sex because sex is like our ultimate way of connecting and why would god not want us to beable to experience that?
i think it has something to do with knowledge and wonder.
i think when man started questioning things like reality it created negativity. but i have to wonder though what was the ultimate factor that brought this desire to know? i think adam wasn't keeping up his end of the bargain with eve then. or maybe he turned gay?
maybe what happened was god told them to keep masculinity and vanity completely seperate. and once adam began thinking he was pretty it created a resentment from eve. which could be the reason for all the negativity in the world today. adam was jealous of eve.
i dunno what do you think. do you think men should look in mirrors anymore? | the fruit was not a metaphor.
The taking of the fruit was symbolic of rejecting God's right to rule, or set the rules for man. By taking the fruit, Adam was in effect saying, that he and his offspring could successfully decide for themselves what is right, and what is wrong. Therein lay the entire theme of the Bible. That being, rulership. All time ever since has been allowed by God to prove whether or not that man can succeed with self rule. |
